Armageddon Skyhawk Over Halfmoon Rosetail Male Betta - BT-1024

Male Betta splendens of the Armageddon Vanda Skyhawk variety. It has an Over Halfmoon tail extending more than 180 degrees and Rosetail fins with a feather-like appearance.

Freshwater. Tank size: minimum 5 gallons; the page also specifies 1 additional gallon for each additional adult fish.

• Temperature: the page gives 76–82 °F in one section and 74–82 °F in another.
• Acidity: the page gives pH 6.5–7.5 in one section and pH 6.8–7.6 in another.
• Water hardness: 12–18 kH. The page suggests adding aquarium salt if the local water is soft.

Substrate: sand, rocks, and vegetation. Decorations: plants and caves. A filter is not essential but may be used to maintain water quality. The page recommends aeration with a bubbler and a heater to prevent temperature fluctuations.

Lighting is not necessary unless the aquarium is heavily planted or does not receive natural daylight.

To acclimate the fish, float the sealed bag for about 15–20 minutes; then gradually add small amounts of aquarium water over another 15–20 minutes. Transfer the fish with a net, do not pour shipping water into the aquarium, and turn off the lights to allow it to adjust.

May coexist with some peaceful species. Avoid fin-nipping fish and other aggressive fish. Do not house with another male betta.
